Tachycardia

Diagnosis and treatment

TV or wide QRS tachycardia and unknown diagnosis

  1. Antiarrhythmics: [Amiodarone] (# 131) (Cordarone) or i.v. [lidocaine] (# 136) (Xylocaine) i.v. or [Procainamide] (# 138) (Pronestyl) i.v.
  2. Shock synchronous 100J (sedation + analgesia)
  3. Pacemaker endovenous (overdrive)

If SVT with conduction aberrancy see narrow QRS complexes tachycardia

Atrial tachycardia with conduction abnormalities
Orthodromic AV tachycardia using an accessory pathway (AVRT) RP’ >120 ms.
Typical AV nodal reentry tachycardia (AVNRT), RP’ < 100 ms
