Digoxin

Contra-indications

  • Renal failure.
  • Conduction disturbancies and WPW syndrome.
  • Hypokalemia.
  • Unsubstituted hypothyreosis .

If ventricular tachyarrhythmias and/or nausea and vomiting consider digoxin intoxication.

If hemodynamic instability or hyperkalemia consider Fab administration digoxin-binding antibody fragments).

Pay attention in patients with renal failure!
